Iker Casillas |
Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti says Iker Casillas will start
Saturday's game with Levante despite being dropped to the substitutes
bench for Spain.
Casillas, 33, was at fault for one of Slovakia's goals in
Spain's 2-1 Euro 2016 qualifying defeat
on 9 October.
He was replaced by Manchester United's David De Gea for the 4-0 win away in Luxembourg three days later.
"The Spanish team is not Real Madrid. We have no desire to transition from one keeper to another," said Ancelotti.
Casillas misjudged Juraj Kucka's 30-yard free-kick for Slovakia as European champions Spain suffered a first qualifying defeat for eight years.
Capped 158 times by Spain, Casillas said last month that he felt responsible for Real's poor La Liga start after being subjected to jeers during a 2-1 defeat to Atletico Madrid on 13 September.
Real, who travel to Liverpool in the Champions League on 22 October, have since won four league games in a row.
They start Saturday's match at Levante fourth in the La Liga table, four points behind leaders Barcelona.
Levante are 17th after one win in seven league matches.
