CHELSEA remain interested in signing Torino star Andrea Belotti

CHELSEA remain interested in signing Torino star Andrea Belotti, according to reports.
The Blues are down a striker after Diego Costa refused to report for training at Cobham. And The Star claims Belotti is at the top of Antonio Conte’s shortlist after scoring 26 Serie A goals last season.
Chelsea have already smashed their club transfer record to sign Real Madrid forward Alvaro Morata in a £70million deal.
But Belotti’s fee could be even higher after his latest contract included an £86m release clause for foreign clubs.
However, Chelsea’s need is great after a blundering start to their latest title defence, losing 3-2 to Burnley on the opening day of the campaign.
Belgium international Michy Batshuayi continues to look out of place spearheading the attack.
And Belotti could be just the man to help Conte bounce back from his transfer blues, with the Italian tactician unhappy with the club’s lack of spending. Chelsea appear to be desperately short of numbers on paper and fans are urging the hierarchy to boost numbers as quickly as possible.
Arsenal winger Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Leicester midfielder Danny Drinkwaterare both wanted at Stamford Bridge.
There could yet be moves for Paris Saint-Germain right-back Serge Aurier and Southampton centre-back Virgil van Dijk too, with Conte sure to be placated if the quartet are signed along with Belotti.
