Genoa 2 Juventus 4: Paulo Dybala scores hat-trick and Juan Cuadrado hits stunning strike

PAULO DYBALA scored a hat-trick as Juventus came back from 2-0 down to take all three points.

A comical own goal from Miralem Pjanic and a VAR system-led penalty saw Genoa score twice within the first seven minutes. Dodgy defending her last season saw Juventus go three down by half-time.
But Dybala hit back with two before half-time — the second another penalty awarded via the VAR system — and a breakaway third in injury time.
Juan Cuadrado netteded a sensational third.
The visitors were down within a minute when Pjanic, running back to help out his defence, accidentally deflected a cross past Gianluigi Buffon with his knee.
And it got worse six minutes later when the VAR system adjudged Daniele Rugani to have brought down Andrey Galabinov — and the Bulgarian dusted himself down to slot home the spot-kick.
It was the first time since 1992 that Juve found themselves 2-0 within the first seven minutes. But, unlike last season, the comeback started after just 14 minutes later when Dybala fired in from Pjanic’s cross.
And the Argentine levelled proceedings from the spot in first-half stoppage time — after the referee once again requested assistance from the VAR system.
Juventus came out for the second half like a team who knew they were going to complete a comeback.
And they didn’t have to wait too long for third. Cuadrado, who had endured a frustrating first half, shows sublime control to fire past Mattia Perin on 62 minutes.
Dybala completed his hat-trick with a breakaway third in stoppage time, before Gianluca Lapadula contributed an early contender for miss when heading over from four yards with an open net at the death.
The agents Genoa wonderkids Salcedo Mora, 15, and Pietro Pellegri, 16, was present here — and it is reported in Italy, he was present for talks with Juventus over a potential deal for the pair.
