Monaco confirm signing of Stevan Jovetic

MONACO have signed striker Stevan Jovetic from Inter Milan on a four-year deal for a fee of £10million.
The Ligue 1 champions have brought in the 27-year-old to the French top-flight as Kylian Mbappe edges closer to joining Paris Saint-Germain. Mbappe has reportedly passed a medical ahead of a move to the Parc des Princes, and will be given the No7 shirt.
He will sign for the Coupe de France champions on an initial season-long loan deal, before PSG must pay Monaco £167m for his services.
Leonardo Jardim has been quick to bolster his attack as he looks to successfully defend their Ligue 1 crown with the addition of the ex-Manchester City ace.
Jovetic told the club’s website: “I’m very happy to be here.
AS Monaco is a big club that played in the semi-finals of the Champions League and won the French Championship title last season.
“There are some great players on this team. That’s why I chose Monaco.” Monaco's Executive Vice President Vadim Vasilyev said: "We are very happy to welcome Stevan Jovetic to AS Monaco.
"He has evolved in the biggest championships and has the experience of the highest level.
"At 27 years old, he is a great player who is mature; We are convinced that he will find here all the conditions to fully express his talent."
Jovetic has been handed the No10 jersey - which was previously held by Mbappe, another indication the 18-year-old star is leaving. Leaked photos emerged online yesterday showing Jovetic proudly grinning in his top as he looks to embark on a new adventure.
He burst onto the scene at Fiorentina, before he got his big move to the Citizens - however injuries plagued his spell in the Premier League, and he was shipped off back to Italy with Inter.
But his stay there was marred by poor performances and was sent off on loan to La Liga side Sevilla in January 2017.
The Montenegrin international has failed to hit double figures since the 2012/13 season.
