Harry Kane ready to ask for Wayne Rooney’s advice on how to build a trophy cabinet

HARRY KANE is planning to build a trophy room at his new house, with a little help from Wayne Rooney.
The Tottenham striker desperately needs somewhere to house his growing number of medals and memorabilia. He has no trouble finding extra space ON the pitch, so now he hopes it is just as easy to do the same OFF it.
Kane, 24, was speaking after notching the ninth hat-trick of his Spurs career in their 3-0 win at APOEL Nicosia in the Champions League on Tuesday.
Asked where he keeps the matchballs, he said: “At the moment they’re at home in bags and cupboards waiting to be put up.
“I’m hoping to build a room for them, the trophies and balls. It isn’t built yet but hopefully it will be soon.
“At this rate I might need a bigger room. That’s what I’m hoping for.”
Kane wants his trophy room to be similar to the one former England team-mate Rooney has at his mansion. The Spurs star said: “I’ve not seen it but I’m going to text Wayne to ask him how he built it.” Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino said Kane could be better than Cristiano Ronaldoafter watching his perfect treble against APOEL — one with his left, one with his right and one with his head.
He said: “Harry has so much potential to become one of the best. Give him time.
“The most important thing is the demands he puts on himself. For sure, he will lead the national team and he will lead Tottenham.
“I am not worried — Harry is connected with the world, he is very calm, a hard worker and is very ambitious. That is very important in football.
“If you lose your personal ambition it can get difficult.”
After failing to score in August, Kane has now hit 11 goals in seven matches for club and country in September, with one game to come. And his hat-trick in Nicosia took his Tottenham total for 2017 to 34 goals — incredibly just one less than West Ham have scored in the same period.
Lloris added: “Every big team has a big goalscorer. At Tottenham it is Harry.
“Obviously he helps the team to make things easier like at APOEL, which was not an easy place to play.
“But Harry has a lot to prove in the Champions League and showed his quality and skills at that moment.
“We are not surprised, we know his talent, his skills, his aptitude to score important goals. He is our main player.
“Real Madrid have Ronaldo, Barca have Messi.
“But is he our Ronaldo? No, he’s Harry Kane. We cannot compare what’s not comparable.”
