Mesut Ozil slammed by Ian Wright

IAN WRIGHT slammed Mesut Ozil’s Facebook rant as ‘laughable’ and told him: Stop hiding behind Alexis Sanchez and sign a new deal.
Arsenal contract rebel Ozil hit out at club “legends” after former players criticised him for his recent displays. But ex-Arsenal ace Wright has insisted the German, 28, should commit his future to the club before condemning his doubters.
SunSport columnist Wright stormed: “Sign a contract, if you feel that strongly about people criticising the team — because you’re somebody who is integral to Arsenal’s success.
“You’re not signing a deal and you’re probably going to continue to hide behind the fact Sanchez is the one that everybody’s going to say, ‘Is he going to go?’.
“A player that is not actually performing on the pitch is coming out, calling people out — and he’s not signing a contract.
“It’s laughable. When they start playing, we’ll stop criticising. Ozil has been talking a lot — but what exactly is he doing? Sign a new contract and show how much you care about Arsenal.”
Boss Arsene  Wenger  hopes to turn the tide by making another British-record transfer bid for Thomas Lemar in January. Monaco’s French star snubbed a whopping £92million Deadline Day move.
Wenger yesterday confirmed that record bid. And when asked if he would make a second attempt during the January transfer window, Wenger replied: “Yes. He is a player who is always available on the pitch.
“Thomas is very complete and balanced, he can also defend.”
