Atalanta 2 Juventus 2: Paulo Dybala misses last-gasp penalty to steal three points

PAULO DYBALA missed an 84th-minute penalty as Juventus hurled away a two-goal lead to draw with Atalanta.
The Old Lady raced into a comfortable lead with goals from Federico Bernardeschi and Gonzalo Higuain. But the Serie A champions choked in the Stadio Atleti Azzurri d’Italia and shipped goals from Mattia Caldara and Bryan Cristante before the Argentine ace was denied from 12 yards.
Max Allegri’s men took control after just 21 minutes when Bernardeschi prodded home after the Atalanta keeper fumbled a long-range shot.
And, just three minutes later, Juve looked home and hosed when Higuain crashed home with his left foot.
Plenty of teams might have rolled over, after going two down to this all-conquering Juventus side, but Atalanta got on the scoresheet on 31 minutes.
Gigi Buffon did well to save a fizzed free-kick but he the Italy legend could only palm it into the path of Caldara who crashed home.
And Cristante thundered home a bullet header to even the scores after Alejandro Gomez had rifled in an incredible cross from the left flank. Just when it looked like the home side had done incredibly well to battle back and earn a point, a shocking decision went against them
The ball appeared to strike sub Andrea Petagna on the shoulder but the referee pointed to the spot with the help of the VAR.
The master marksman looked nailed on to snatch a controversial win for his side Atalanta keeper Etrit Berisha denied him with a fine save.
The Kosovo star delayed his dive long enough to see Dybala aim it low to his left and he got down just in time to save the spot-kick.
