Chelsea could turn to seventeen-year-old Ethan Ampadu and Kyle Scott to solve midfield injury crisis

CHELSEA could turn to yougster Etham Ampadu to help solve their midfield injury crisis.
Blues boss Antonio Conte is without N'Golo Kante and Danny Drinkwater through injury, with no sepcific date on either returning to action. Chelsea go to Crystal Palace on Saturday with Tiemoue Bakayoko and Ces Fabregas are his only fit senior midfielders and Ampadu who made hist first-team debut in the League Cup against Nottingahm Forest could be drafted in.
Conter said: "We have to approach seven games in this month and we need to find a solution – adapt some defenders or give some younger players an opportunity like Scott or Ampadu.
"We have to approach these next seven games without Kante and Drinkwater.
"We have Fabregas and Bakayoko and our young players like Kyle Scott and Ethan Ampadu, we have to find a solution." Conte admits the loss of N'Golo Kante with a hamstring injury while on international duty for France is a big miss.
He added: "Kante is around 20-25 days, In this situation you must play great attention, and we will do another scan after one week to understand the situation better.
"If this scan is better than the scan before then great. For sure it is a big loss and a big problem for us."
The Chelsea bossed was pressed on the tough pathway young players endure to get anywhere near the Premier League champions first-team plans.
He continued: "We are trying to get players through. Last season, don’t forget a lot of young players played different games.
"In this season, we started to give the opportunity in the Carabao Cup, this season could be a good opportunity for the young players to play with Chelsea."
