BRAZIL legend Ronaldo could be set for a sensational return to Corinthians.
Former club president Andres Sanchez has revealed he will bring back the ex-Real Madrid striker if he confirms his candidacy and wins the upcoming elections.
The Sao Paulo giants are set to appoint a new president in next February's vote. Sanchez was at the helm of the Brazilian side between 2007 and 2011 but is expected to stand in the vote next year. And he wants to bring the two-time Ballon d'Or winner back to the club where he finished his career in 2011.
In an interview with Estadao, Sanchez revealed: "If I'm a candidate and can win the election, Ronaldo will be at Corinthians. "The position will be chosen later, but because of his ability it will be high up.
"Ronaldo has never been far from Corinthians. He is a person who has always contributed and was close to Corinthians, acting positively. "He is very competent in everything he does." It is believed Ronaldo will be offered a position of director if Sanchez is handed the presidency. Ronaldo is regarded as one of the greatest players to have graced the game over his 18-year career.
During that time he lifted the World Cup on two occasions, won the Uefa Cup with Inter Milan and the league title twice with Real Madrid.
