KEVIN DE BRUYNE has been hailed as the Premier League’s best player by Eden Hazard.
The Manchester City playmaker has been in dazzling form under Pep Guardiola this season, scoring two goals and laying on another six in just 11 domestic appearances.
De Bruyne is highly regarded as the driving force behind City’s surge to the top of the Premier League table. And many bookies already have the Belgian as clear favourite to land the PFA Player of the Year award in 2018. One man who feels De Bruyne deserves the accolade is former winner Hazard, who is starting to become influential once against for Chelsea after an injury setback.
The duo play together at international level, and Hazard claims his job as Belgium’s captain is made a lot easier with players such as De Bruyne in the team. He said: “Kevin is definitely the best player in the Premier League at the moment.
“City are the best Premier League team and Kevin is an important player in Guardiola’s system. It’s easy to play with Kevin because we’re good players.” Reflecting on his return from injury, Hazard added: “Personally I feel good. There is no apprehension related to my return from injury.
“I am already at the top but I still hope to improve.”
