Mauricio Pochettino laments Tottenham’s performance against Leicester

MAURICIO POCHETTINO was left "very disappointed" after seeing his high-flying Spurs side crash-land with a 2-1 defeat to Leicester tonight.
Goals from Jamie Vardy and Riyad Mahrez saw the Foxes head into the half-time break two goals to the good.
Mauricio Pochettino seemed shocked by the performance his Spurs team had put in against Leicester
It wasn't until the 79th minute that Spurs sniffed a chance of getting something from the game when that man Harry Kane powered home.
But it was a false dawn for the fans who had travelled up from London on bitterly cold evening as Leicester held on for the three points.
And after the game, Spurs boss Pochettino seemed somewhat surprised as to what he had seen out on the King Power Stadium pitch.
He said: "We did not play in the way we normally play. "The first half was a poor performance and it was difficult after that to get back into the game.
"We feel very disappointed in our performance. We started the game not in the right way and we conceded the opportunity to them to score. "At 2-0 down it is difficult. We need to improve the way we start. It happened against West Brom and Borussia Dortmund."
There was one highlight for Pochettino on a dismal night in the Midlands as Erik Lamela made his first appearance for the first team for 13 months. Pochettino added: "It's true, his quality will be important for us in the future and I'm happy today that he played 15 minutes.
"He is ready to help us and will be very important."
