Mesut Ozil set to miss Arsenal clash with Huddersfield with illness

MESUT OZIL is set to miss Arsenal’s must-win clash with Huddersfield on Wednesday night with illness.
The German midfielder was missing for Saturday’s last-gasp win over Burnley when Alexis Sanchez fired home an injury-time penalty to keep Arsene Wenger’s men in the title race.
Mesut Ozil missed the narrow win over Burnley due to illnesses
And the former Real Madrid man – who is out of contract in the summer and looks set to leave the Emirates – does not look like making a quick enough recovery.
When asked about his mercurial playmaker, Wenger said: “I haven’t even seen him.
“The doctor came to see me and said he had to travel back home, he was in the hotel with us.
“He travelled up with us, then travelled back. “We brought Maitland-Niles up who arrived at 1pm because we had only 17 players.
“Will he be available for Wednesday? Certainly he will be short. We will see what it is exactly.” Huddersfield proved they are no push-overs on Saturday evening against Premier League pace setters Manchester City.
David Wagner’s dogged side took Pep Guardiola’s men to the wire and were only undone in the final 10 minutes.
Arsenal will have to be at their best to tame the Terriers and Ozil’s guile will be missed if he fails to recover in time.
