Brighton 1 Liverpool 5 match highlights: Roberto Firmino’s double haunts Brighton as Reds cruise to victory

ROBERTO FIRMINIO blew Brighton away with a double strike at the Amex.
The Brazilian struck on either side of half-time to maintain Liverpool’s brilliant form - only Manchester City are on a hotter streak.
Roberto Firmino scores his 10th goal of the season
It took his goal tally to 11, and he had the superb Mo Salah to thank.
Coutinho was involved in two late goals.
First, he scored with a cheeky free kick passing the ball under the wall as it jumped, and into the net.
And then the Brazilian's strike was diverted into the net via Lewis Dunk's own goal.
Salah blistering pace destroyed Brighton, who had not lost at home since the opening day of the campaign. Liverpool, playing with an usual back three, took the lead after 30 minutes when Emre Can met Philippe Coutinho’s right wing corner to head home powerfully.
Seventy nine seconds later, they doubled their lead.
Salah burst from midfield at pace, fed Coutinho on the left who crossed first time to the far post where Firminio was waiting to slot home.
It was all over in the 48th minute when Salah, the flying Pharaoh, burst forward again, dragging the Brighton defenders to him like bees to honey before feeding Firminino who drilled the ball into the net.
Brighton pulled a goal back in the 51st minute when Glenn Murray converted a penalty after Can was punished for what looked like a shove. Murray had other opportunities which he failed to take, which must have frustrated Chelsea loaneee Izzy Brown, who provided both.
After just 16 minutes, he blazed over and then later forced Simon Mignolet, making his 150th Premier League appearance for Liverpool, into a decent close-range save.
But it was a harsh lesson for Brighton.
New Everton boss Sam Allardyce now has to stop the Red Machine at Anfield next Sunday…good luck!
