Cristiano Ronaldo is a doubt for El Clasico

CRISTIANO RONALDO is a doubt for Saturday's El Clasico after missing the second day of Real Madrid training.
The five-time Ballon d'Or winner is yet to fully recover from a knock on his calf and may be forced to miss out the home clash against Barcelona.
Cristiano Ronaldo is a doubt for El Clasico
Ronaldo picked up the injury in the Fifa Club World Cup final win over Gremio last week - in which he scored the decisive goal.
The 32-year-old trained by himself on Wednesday while the rest of the side did their normal drills under the eye of manager Zinedine Zidane.
A club spokesperson said: "Cristiano Ronaldo worked separately from the group, while Luka [Modric] also trained alone out on the pitch as he continues his recovery process."
Ronaldo is certain he will be fit for Saturday's early kick-off though. He admitted he did feel a twinge in his leg but said he will play in one of world football's must-see fixtures.
The Portuguese said: "I felt an issue in my calf in the second half, but I kept playing. For sure on Saturday I will be fine." Real currently sit 11 points behind La Liga leaders Barcelona and know defeat at home could see them out of the title race altogether.
However, there is some good news for Zidane. Gareth Bale came on as a late sub in Abu Dhabi showpiece and could be in line for a start against Ernesto Valverde's side.
The Welshman scored in the Club World Cup semi-final win over Al Jazira.
Karim Benzema - who recently celebrated his 30th birthday - was in training today after being given Tuesday off.
