Dejan Lovren pushed away by Liverpool team-mates after trying to confront referee following Everton penalty giveaway

DEJAN LOVREN was dragged away by team-mates at the final whistle after confronting the referee.
The Croatian defender was pushed away by James Milner and Jordan Henderson after Merseyside derby finished in a 1-1 draw.
James Milner and Jordan Henderson push Dejan Lovren away from the referee following the final whistle
Lovren conceded a penalty when he needlessly shoved Dominic Calvert-Lewin to the ground which forced ref Craig Pawson to point to the spot.
It was a light push but a naive defensive error that resulted in the turning point of the rivalry match.
Wayne Rooney’s 77th minute penalty lashed straight into the back of the net to equalise for the Toffees and provide a way back into the game.
Both Lovren and Henderson remonstrated with the ref at the time after the penalty was awarded. As the final whistle blew, both Lovren and his boss Jurgen Klopp approached Pawson to vent their frustrations.
The defender’s team-mates rushed over to help calm him down and defuse the situation.
