Diego Maradona warns Cristiano Ronaldo over ‘greatest ever’ claims

DIEGO MARADONA has told Cristiano Ronaldo to “quit f*****g around” if he wants to become the greatest player of all time.
CR7 claimed he was the best that ever lived after claiming yet another Ballon d’Or trophy earlier this month.

Cristiano Ronaldo has been given a warning by Diego Maradona after his 'greatest ever' claims
It certainly riled Lionel Messi fans, while those who remember the likes of Maradona, Pele and George Best had a few choice things to say about Ronaldo’s statement.
However, one of those legendary players, Maradona, believes the Portuguese can potentially become an all-time icon if he works even harder on and off the pitch.
When asked if Ronaldo was the greatest player ever, Maradona replied: “Tell him to quit f*****g around.”
The journalist then said: “If he’s the best, what does that make you?” To which Maradona answered: “Exactly. That’s why tell him to quit f*****g around.
“From the few players that I saw, amongst the greatest were Di Stefano, Cruyff, Messi. “Cristiano Ronaldo could be in there as well.”
Ronaldo was reminded of his constant rivalry with Messi when Al Jazira fans chanted for the Argentine during their Club World Cup semi-final clash with Real Madrid this week.
