Gary Neville slams Romelu Lukaku for failing to celebrate netting the opener against West Brom

MANCHESTER UNITED legend Gary Neville has slammed Romelu Lukaku for failing to celebrate after netting the opener against West Brom.
The Belgian forward, 24, scored the game's first goal at the Hawthorns with a superb header, but opted not to celebrate the strike.
Romelu Lukaku could barely muster a smile with his muted celebration
After the stunt, Neville urged Lukaku to at least try to "endear himself to fans" after showing off another muted celebration against Bournemouth earlier this week.
United favourite Neville said: "He needs to celebrate, he absolutely does.
"Celebrate with those fans behind the goal, endear yourself to them."
Meanwhile, Gary's brother Phil Neville revealed his logic on why Lukaku failed to celebrate enthusiastically after his Cherries strike midweek.
The ex-United and Everton ace said: "The whole stadium hardly celebrated his goal.
“I think there was a massive hangover from Sunday [United lost the Manchester derby.] “I think there was disappointment from Romelu, who had a disappointing game.
“He was involved in the City goals and the chance he had at the end, so he did suffer a lot of criticism. “Maybe it wasn’t a night to celebrate.
“That hit Manchester United really hard on Sunday and there was a flatness around Old Trafford [against Bournemouth].”
However, Lukaku may have opted against celebrating his strike against West Brom on Sunday, due to his links to the club.
The Belgian forward spent the 2012-13 season on loan at the Baggies from Chelsea, scoring 17 goals in 35 games for the club.
