Liverpool would have been league champions with better central defenders - Garry Neville

GARY NEVILLE is convinced Liverpool would have been league champions with two decent central defenders and a solid goalkeeper.
The Manchester United legend and Sky Sports pundit slammed the performance of Simon Mignolet after his howler gifted Arsenal their second goal in a dramatic 3-3 draw.

Simon Mignolet failed to deal with Granit Xhaka's long range effort
The Belgian shot stopper was then criticised for Arsenal's third when Mesut Ozil's delicate lob fired the Gunners 3-2 ahead after six crazy minutes.
Liverpool's firepower has never been in question but it's their defence that continues to attract criticism.
They have the joint worse defensive record in the top seven and rock bottom Swansea have conceded just two more.
And Neville believes if Jurgen Klopp had spent wisely on central defenders and a new No1 then they would have ended their 27-year wait to lift the title. Speaking on Sky Sports after the game he said: "I don't need to speak about the Liverpool goalkeeper anymore really.
"In the sense that I think he's a half decent goalkeeper but I genuinely do believe over the last few years if Liverpool would have had two decent centre backs and a good goalkeeper they would have won the league."
Fans on Twitter were quick to slam Mignolet with one labelling him "absolute garbage."
One simply said: “Mignolet is so bad.” One noted: “Mignolet is trash. Absolute garbage. De Gea makes those saves easily. That second goal was right at him.
One final tweet read: “Xhaka needs to buy Mignolet a pint after this. Absolute mare for the first goal but let off by that clanger earlier.”
