Why Romelu Lukaku Refused to celebrate goal against Bournemouth - Phil Neville

PHIL NEVILLE has shed some light on Romelu Lukaku's failure to celebrate his goal against Bournemouth.
Romelu Lukaku waved at home fans after scoring against Bournemouth
United's £75million summer signing began the season with a bang, but the goals have dried lately.
United fans have been quick to let the Belgian know what they think of his recent form.
And Neville reasoned he was just hitting back at the haters and trying to prove a point in the 1-0 win over the Cherries.
He told Sky Sports’ The Debate show: 'The whole stadium hardly celebrated his goal. “I think there was a massive hangover from Sunday [United lost the Manchester derby.]
“I think there was disappointment from Romelu, who had a disappointing game. “He was involved in the City goals and the chance he had at the end, so he did suffer a lot of criticism.
“Maybe it wasn’t a night to celebrate.
“That hit Manchester United really hard on Sunday and there was a flatness around Old Trafford [against Bournemouth].”

Fellow pundit Mathew Upson was also disappointed with the Lukaku's actions.
“I think he has had a lot of criticism, he has had a dry period in terms of goals,” he said. “Over the season you look at him he has been very good.
“But behaving in that way draws attention to him more.”
Lukaku's strike was his 14th goal for United, who are at West Bromwich on Sunday.
