World Cup draw: The incredible stat behind Argentina being drawn against Nigeria

IT almost feels like a World Cup wouldn't be complete without it.
Argentina have be drawn against Nigeria at Russia 2018, with the game taking place at the Krestovsky Stadium in Saint Petersburg on June 26.

The Group D clash will be the FIFTH time in just six World Cups that Nigeria have qualified for that the two countries have landed each other in the group stage.
And they have incredibly been drawn against each other in each the last THREE World Cups.
The Super Eagles will be hoping for a change of fortune at Russia 2018.
They have lost the last four World Cup games between the sides. Lionel Messi scored twice in a 3-2 win at the 2014 tournament in Brazil that helped Argentina qualify for the last 16.
But Leicester forward Ahmed Musa netted a double to twice equalise, with Manchester United defender Marcos Rojo scoring the winner.
Former United defender Gabriel Heinze scored the only goal of the game when the sides met in 2010. And it was 1-0 again to Argentina in 2002, with Gabriel Batistuta the scorer.
Samson Siasia opened the scoring for Nigeria in 2002, but Claudio Caniggia hit back with a double to win it.
