'Initial objective met' shares Enyeama

Super Eagles goalkeeper, Vincent Enyeama has confessed that qualification for the round of 16 of the 2014 Fifa World Cup was the team’s main objective.
The African champions would have finished top of Group F with a win against Argentina on Wednesday but had to settle for the runners-up spot following a 2-3 defeat to the Albiceleste.
Enyeama, who was a victim of a Lionel Messi masterclass at the Estádio Beira-Rio, Porto Alegre in a match the FC Barcelona man scored a brace, has now stated that the team’s main priority was to qualify for the round of 16.
“I don’t really care about the loss or the fact that I conceded three goals. The important thing was helping my country qualify. That was the most important thing,” Enyeama told supersport.com.
Enyeama had not conceded prior to the game against Argentina. He said there is no shame shipping three goals against the Albiceleste.
“Don’t forget that we played against a team that had the world’s best player (Messi) and a team that has also been very good (in the tournament).
“They had won all their games and scored goals in every game. We will learn from the mistakes we made against Argentina," he said.
Nigeria will next meet France in the round of 16 on June 30 in Brasilia.
Enyeama believes the game against Les Blues will be a “different ball game.”
“The next round is a different ball game. It’s the knockout stage of the competition. We will see how it goes,” he sai
