Costa at it again

The Spanish international is in Brazil after being given an extended break to sort out his return to the La Liga outfit.  And commenting on his own Instagram Live post, he told viewers – apparently including pal Cesc Fabregas – to “give Conte a hug”.

Blues boss Antonio Conte dumped last season’s top scorer by text and told him he was free to leave the club.

Costa, 28, has turned down interest from China as he focuses on a return to Spain.

And eagle-eyed viewers pointed out the kit he was wearing dates back to the 2013-14 season.

The abrasive striker will be unable to play until January as Atleti are currently under a transfer embargo.

And he will be desperate to hit the ground running as he bids to make the Spain squad for the 2018 World Cup in Russia. Chelsea missed out on their top target  to replace Costa Romelu Lukaku, who opted to join Manchester United instead.

It was a huge coup for former Blues chief Jose Mourinho, who is ready to play Marcus Rashford alongside the huge Belgian.  The Blues have now turned their attention to Gabon hitman Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

But Conte will have to move quickly after Bourussia Dortmund insisted it was now or never if the Stamford Bridge club are to make a £65million move.

And Sergio Aguero recently emerged as a shock potential replacement afterManchester City boss Pep Guardiola reportedly gave the switch the green light.
