BOURNEMOUTH are ready to up their offer for unsettled Leicester winger Demarai Gray.
Foxes knocked back a £20million bid for the England Under-21 international last month. But Cherries are expected to raise their offer to a club-record £25m.
Gray, 21, has been frustrated by a lack of playing time since joining Leicester from Birmingham in January 2016.
He scored a stunner in last night’s Carabao Cup clash at Sheffield United on his first start of the season after two late appearances as substitute.
But Gray has told the club he would like the opportunity on offer to work under Eddie Howe at Bournemouth, which he is understood to see as an ideal platform to develop his Premier League career.
Gray played 30 times for City last season but started just nine games.
Boss Craig Shakespeare insisted: “We know what Demarai is capable of. “No player likes four or five minutes, they want more than that. I understand that but circumstances dictated that.
“He’s training well. He’s very focused. No plans are set in stone. The chance is there for anybody, not just Demarai.”
