Chelsea gives Diego Costa four demands

CHELSEA have given Diego Costa four demands before they will consider selling the wantaway star, SunSport can exclusively reveal.
Stamford Bridge chiefs gave the 28-year-old Brazilian the ultimatum today as he refuses to return to London and play for the club. The Blues want the striker to do the following before they will flog him to Atletico Madrid.
  • He must return to Cobham.
  • Costa must return to training.
  • He must prove his match fitness.
  • And Costa must put him into contention for a first-team place.
The Blues can also continue fining him indefinitely until he returns after breaching their code of conduct. He has been told every time he misses a game, he will be stung with a two-week wage hit, essentially meaning they will have to pay him again.
SunSport also understands Costa has not contacted the PFA over his claims he is being “treated like a criminal”.
The Spanish striker has gone AWOL in Brazil after being told he can leave by Conte in a public spat. He says he is being held against his will with his heart set on a return to Atletico Madrid.
Costa said: “I am waiting for Chelsea to set me free. Why won’t they let me go if they don’t want me?
“My desire is to go to Atletico (where he played from 2010-14). I’ve spoken to Chelseadirector Marina Granovskaia. I said, ‘If the manager doesn’t want me, I want to go to Atletico Madrid’.
“They want me to be there training with the reserves. I wouldn’t be allowed access to the first-team dressing room and I would have no contact at all with the guys. I’m not a criminal! I don’t think it is fair after all I have done to be treated like that.”
