Chelsea to bid £50m for Danny Rose

CHELSEA are set to bid for Danny Rose after Sunday’s Wembley clash with Tottenham.
As SunSport revealed last week, the Blues have made England man Rose their leading left-back target but would have to cough up £50million to interest Spurs. Rose criticised his club’s transfer and wage policies in a bombshell SunSport interviewlast week but the
North London club are yet to give any indication they are keen to sell.
Rose, 27, who is still out until after the international break next month following knee surgery, is also a long-term target for Manchester United.
Eden Hazard will hand beleaguered Blues boss Antonio Conte a massive boost tomorrow by playing in his first match since breaking his ankle in June.
A specially-arranged game is scheduled to take place at Chelsea’s training ground and if Hazard comes through unscathed, there is a slight chance he may play some part in Sunday’s derby.
Despite orders to return to England, a source close to the player says Costa is ‘not in the right state of mind’ to come back any time soon. But former Chelsea right-back Mario Melchiot warned Spanish international Costa he risked “killing his career” if he continues to ignore his manager and stay away from Stamford Bridge.
He told talkSPORT: “He will always be the biggest loser.
“You can never go against a club. You’re never going to win.” Boss Conte is set to step up efforts to sign England midfielder Danny Drinkwater, 27, this week even though Leicester are holding out for up to £30m.
Drinkwater is Conte’s No 1 midfield target with Arsenal’s Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Everton’s Ross Barkley also on his shopping list.
