Diego Costa admits he was unhappy about the axed by Chelsea

DIEGO COSTA confirmed he was axed by Chelsea over text message this summer.
SunSport exclusively revealed back in June that Costa was told his Chelsea career was over by text message by Antonio Conte. And, in an interview with the Daily Mail, Costa said he was left “angry” by the text when he was on international duty.
He said: “”It was a shock to get it like that. I was showing it to my team-mates and they could not believe how he had done it.
“I was angry at the time. Now I am more calm. I have not deleted the message.
“You don’t do it by text message. You I should be honest and direct to someone’s face.”
The Sun have contacted Chelsea for comment.
Costa faces a fine up to £300k after going AWOL. The 28-year-old was due to report for training at the Premier League champions TWO WEEKS ago.
But he has been pictured partying in Brazil instead of returning to the club’s Cobham HQ and working on his fitness.
Antonio Conte has made it clear Costa is not part of his plans and would be training away from the first team.
But Costa was still due to return and keep himself in shape for a potential move. He now could be fined by the club two weeks wages with his current earnings £150,000 a week.
His situation has been complicated by his dream move back to Atletico Madrid being put on hold as they have a transfer embargo until January.
Chelsea were beaten 3-2 by Burnley in the worst possible start to their Premier League defence on Saturday at Stamford Bridge.
