Tottenham bid for Anthony Martial rejected

MANCHESTER UNITED have rejected a bid from Tottenham for Anthony Martial, according to reports.
Tottenham are yet to bring anyone in so far this summer and it’s believed they have been knocked back in their pursuit of the Frenchman. It is unknown how much Spurs bid for the 21-year-old after Mohamed Bouhafsi posted the news from his verified Twitter account.
Martial’s future is in doubt at Old Trafford and was left on the bench during the Red Devils’ defeat to Real Madrid in the Super Cup.
Throughout the summer Martial has been linked with a move to the San Siro, as part of a swap deal with Inter Milan winger Ivan Perisic.
Martial operates on the left flank for United and he would slip further down the pecking order if United complete a sensational move for Gareth Bale.
This is not the first time Spurs have been linked with the forward after they tried signing him before his move to United from Monaco in 2015.
Fans have seen glimpses of Martial’s brilliance since his £36million to England but he has also struggled for game time after being inconsistent. Meanwhile, Man Utd are on the brink of announcing the signing of young forward Bruno Amorim from Portuguese side Oliveirense.
Jose Mourinho has also been linked with a move for Danny Rose, with his pursuit of a left-back becoming a main priority.
The Special One also confirmed the club are in talks with Zlatan Ibrahimovic over a sensational return after he was released earlier in the summer.
