Anderlecht 0 Celtic 3: Goals from Leigh Griffiths and Scott Sinclair and a Kara Mbodji own goal made sure Celtic won

CELTIC eased to a comfortable 3-0 win against Belgian side Anderlecht at the Constant Vanden Stock Stadium.
Brendan Rodgers' side took the lead thanks to a Leigh Griffiths strike, before Kara Mbodji turned into his own net from a Patrick Roberts attempt with Scott Sinclair completing the victory. Celtic opened the scoring with their first real chance of the match as Griffiths tapped home after excellent build-up play down the left-hand side.
Olivier Ntcham thread a delightful through ball to left-back Kieran Tierney, who found the Scottish striker from inside the six yard box in the 38th minute.
But almost immediately from kick-off, the Belgian side nearly found themselves on level terms as Craig Gordon was called into action low-down to deny Sofiane Hanni.
And it got better for the travelling supporters when Roberts' deflected strike fired the Bhoys 2-0 up after a mistake at the back from Leander Dendoncker.
The winger on-loan from Manchester City jinxed his way into the box before unleashing a left-footed drive that got a huge deflection of Kara Mbodji and into the net for an unlucky own goal.
Roberts then almost got his name on the score sheet yet again, but his volleyed attempt went a whisker wide after a flowing Celtic move. Anderlecht simply offered nothing going forward, as centre-backs Jozo Simunovic and Dedryck Boyata were ruthless in the heart of defence.
Scott Sinclair sealed a famous victory for the Hoops with an emphatic left-footed strike into the top left corner in the 93rd minute for his tenth of the season.
The win means that Celtic end their four-year wait for a victory in the Champions League group stages.
