CHELSEA are favourites to sign Edinson Cavani if he quits Paris Saint-Germain in January.
The Uruguay ace publicly fell out with new signing Neymar over set-piece duties. After he refused a £880,000 offer to step aside and let the Brazilian take penalties, the odds have shortened on him leaving in the next window.
PSG need to balance the books to avoid an expulsion from the Champions League and flogging Cavani would appease Neymar.
And Paddy Power have the Blues as 11-2 favourites to sign Cavani after picking up a huge windfall for Diego Costa.
Everton (10-1), as well as Manchester United and City (both 14-1) are also in the running.
Cavani is able to play out wide as well as lead the line, which could make him an ideal foil for Alvaro Morata.
Willian has been criticised by some fans for his performances down the right flank this season. The Toffees failed to sign a suitable replacement for Romelu Lukaku this summer.
And despite Wayne Rooney's fairytale return, Ronald Koeman will leave no stone unt-urned in a hunt for a new hitman this January.
Convincing Cavani to leave the Parc des Princes for the less glamorous surroundings of Goodison Park may prove difficult, however. United and City are both constantly in the market for the world's best talent but arguably have the least use for Cavani.
Both are keen to add young up and coming players, although Pep Guardiola has been trying to land Alexis Sanchez and Jose Mourinho re-signed Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
