Dani Carvajal ‘caught on camera aiming racist abuse’ at Levante midfielder Jefferson Lerma

DANI CARVAJAL has been accused of aiming racist abuse at a Levante player, according to reports in Spain.

Mundo Deportivo claim that the Real Madrid right-back was caught by television cameras shouting at Jefferson Lerma: “A***hole! F****** monkey!” The comment, which occurred during the second-half of the contest, was clearly not heard by the referee or Levante’s Colombian midfielder.

If the Spanish FA see the footage, they will be under serious pressure to come down hard on Carvajal, having been accused in the past of treating racism lightly.

Later in the match, Marcelo received a red card for kicking out at Lerma after a clash in the box.

Real Madrid fell to a disappointing 1-1 draw at home to the Valencian-based side.

Lucas Vazquez equalised for the hosts after a defensive mix-up had seen Ivan Lopez give the visitors a shock lead.
