Antoine Griezmann ‘gives Atletico Madrid bad habits’ - Diego Simeone

ATLETICO MADRID boss Diego Simeone has slated his side's ability to manage without talisman Antoine Griezmann.
The Frenchman's tendency to solve the club's attacking issues has resulted in bad habits, insists the 47-year-old. Atletico suffered a demoralising midweek defeat to Chelsea in the Champions League, with 23-year-old Michy Batshuayi scoring a late winner for the visitors.
Diego Simeone's side looked to bounce back on Saturday, but they could only muster a goalless bore draw with local rivals Leganes.
Los Rojiblancos looked lacklustre from the off and they missed out on the chance of going second in the La Liga table.
After the game, a frustrated Simeone said: "He [Griezmann] is a player who has given us bad habits because he is the player who always solves the offensive problems of the team.
"When he scores goals, the team has a great chance of winning. But when he does not score, obviously it's more difficult.
"I think the other attackers and the rest of the team can help him get closer to the goal. "We have to divide this responsibility, which is not the sole responsibility of Griezmann."
The French forward has attracted the interest of a number of Europe's biggest clubs, with Manchester United reported to be preparing a £88million swoop.
Diego Costa can be officially registered to Atletico in January, which will bolster Simeone's attacking options and ease the over-reliance on Griezmann.
The 26-year-old finished last term as the club's top scorer with a tally of 16 goals.
