Arsenal have now won 13 matches in a row at home
ARSENAL came from behind to beat Swansea 2-1 at the Emirates on Saturday... and extend their winning run at home to 13 in a row in all competitions.
Sead Kolasinac and Aaron Ramsey scored a quickfire double
as the Gunners overcame a nightmare start following Sam Clucas' opener for the visitors.
In grabbing all three points,
Arsenal
not only closed the gap on North London rivals Tottenham, they even broke a record.
The 13 straight home wins is the Gunners' best-ever record at the
Emirates Stadium
.
Since moving from Highbury to their current home in 2006,
Arsene Wenger
has never seen his side go on such an incredible run.
The streak kicked-off towards the end of last season, all the way back in April. The Gunners played out a 3-0 drubbing of West Ham - thanks to goals from Mesut Ozil, Theo Walcott and Olivier Giroud.
Arsenal closed out their season on home soil with victories over Leicester, Manchester United, Sunderland and Everton - all in the Premier League.
This season, Wenger's side have won every, single game... in the Prem, Europa League and EFL Cup.
The Gunners fought-back late to edge past Leicester 4-3 in the season-opener, before beating Bournemouth 3-0 in their next home clash. A 3-1 win over German outfit Cologne in Europe followed, before a nervy 1-0 win over League One side Doncaster in the Carabao Cup.
Back-to-back 2-0 wins - over West Brom and Brighton - in the Premier League came next at the Emirates, before last week's 2-1 win over Norwich in the League Cup.
This weekend's tense victory over Swansea made it No13 in a row for Arsenal.
13 may be unlucky for some... but clearly not for the Gunners.
