Kevin De Bruyne agent to begin contract talks with Manchester City and demand £500k a week

KEVIN DE BRUYNE'S agent has revealed he is set to begin contract talks with Manchester City - and will demand around £500,000 a week.
Belgian playmaker De Bruyne has been in stunning form and pulled the strings as City spanked Stoke 7-2 on Saturday. And his agent reckons De Bruyne deserves to paid the same kind of money as Neymar - who is on £625,000 a week.
De Bruyne is currently on £115,000 a week after until 2021 after penning a six-year deal when he joined in a £54million move from Wolfsburg.
The player recently praised City's "superb" project under Pep Guardiola.
But his agent says that he wants City to stump up a figure around FIVE TIMES what De Bruyne currently earns when the thrash out a new deal. Patrick De Koster said: "In the coming months, I’ll meet with City to figure out how to improve and extend his contract.
"His salary? I cannot say. But if you think what Neymar and Kylian Mbappe are being paid, you can picture." De Bruyne has contributed two goals and ten assists so far this season.
And after netting seven against Stoke, it leaves City on course for an incredible 137 Prem goals this season.
After last month's 5-0 rout of Palace, De Bruyne said: "I am very happy at City. "Everything is going well for me. I have no reason to go anywhere else. The project City have is superb, so it's best for me.
"They have spoken with Patrick in the summer and said 'give us time to make the transfers and we speak after the summer'. "That will soon happen, I think. I'm not thinking it has to happen fast. I have a four-year contract.
"Whether I'm four, five or six years under contract, that does not change much, but it’s nice the club have so much confidence in me."
