SCOTLAND have named Malky Mackay as interim boss after Gordon Strachan was axed following their World Cup failure.
The national side were unable to qualify for next summer's tournament in Russia following their 2-2 with Slovenia last Sunday. The result cost Strachan his job as the SFA decided to give him the axe earlier this week.
It has now been confirmed Scotland will now take on the Dutch in a friendly at Pittodrie on November 9.
Holland also failed to qualify for the tournament in Russia next summer - having needed to beat Sweden 7-0 in their final game to make the finals.
SFA performance director Mackay - whose reputation was damaged by a high-profile text message scandal - will take charge of the Scotland team for the game. The former Cardiff City boss is one of the favourites to get the manager's job alongside ex-Manchester United and Everton manager David Moyes.
Prior to his role with the SFA, Mackay was manager of Wigan for one season, following two years at Cardiff.
The five-cap Scotland international started his managerial career at Watford, where he spent two season, following a spell as caretaker.
