DANNY ROSE is fuming at being left out of the Spurs squad for Saturday’s North London derby defeat.
The England left-back believes he is 100 per cent fit and disagrees with boss Mauricio Pochettino saying he was not ready to face rivals Arsenal.
Rose was made to train at Tottenham’s Enfield HQ on Saturday morning instead of being involved with the match-day squad. Manchester United are keen on signing Rose.
And the player himself has expressed a desire to move back up north in the past, and would be willing to offer Luke Shaw as part of the deal.
But Rose, 27, is angry because he wants game-time to make sure he is in the England squad for next summer’s World Cup. Irritated Poch dismissed claims of a bust-up saying Rose needs to work on his fitness having only recently returned after a ten-month injury absence.
After Arsenal’s 2-0 win, Pochettino said: “If we had won 2-0, nobody would ever have asked me about Danny Rose.
“Remember, we played without Danny for ten months, so we need to build up his fitness and for this game we decided it would be better for him to train rather than be on the bench.
“I am an honest person and I am not happy about this. It’s not good a situation is made when it is not an issue.”
