Jose Mourinho invited out to dinner by Roman Abramovich after Chelsea’s clash

JOSE MOURINHO has been invited to dinner by Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich after today’s game at Stamford Bridge.
It is not known if the Manchester United manager has accepted.

But the curious invite comes at a time when Blues boss Antonio Conte is under increasing pressure. Abramovich twice appointed and twice sacked Mourinho, the last time in December of 2015. He is still the most successful manager in Chelsea’s history — winning three titles, three League Cups and the FA Cup in his two spells.
His family home remains in London while he continues to live in the Lowry Hotel in Manchester. It may be nothing more than a friendly invite from Abramovich. Although last October, ahead of his return to the Bridge as United boss, Mourinho said he and Abramovich were not pals.
Mourinho said: “He was never my friend. We always had the relationship of owner-manager.
“Very respectful relationship. But we were never close to each other.” It seems unthinkable he would consider a third term at Chelsea having got United back on track.
He won both the League Cup and Europa League last season — getting them back into the Champions League.
And the Red Devils sit second in the league, five points off leaders Manchester City.
