Jose Mourinho relaxed following defeat in Basel

JOSE MOURINHO cut a calm figure after his side's last ditch defeat in Basel despite the potential of a nightmare knockout draw.
Manchester United threw away a vital point in the dying embers which would have guaranteed them top spot heading into the round of 16.
Jose Mourinho was frustrated with his side's inability to finish off the game
If United lose to CSKA Moscow and Basel beat rock bottom Benfica, then the Red Devils could finish second depending on goal difference. Mourinho's side currently have a four goal swing in their advantage over the Swiss team.
If they do finish in second, United could face potential knockout ties against Paris Saint-Germain, Barcelona or Besiktas. But it didn't appear to deter the Portuguese boss by claiming in his post match press conference that "I don't even think we need to draw." Speaking after watching his side crash to a 1-0 defeat, he said: "I don't know what we need (against CSKA.)
"I don't think we need that (the win). Of course we want that but I don't think we need to win the match.
"I don't think we even need to draw." Left-back Daley Blind blamed himself for United's defeat when he lost Michael Lang who slotted it past Sergio Romero.
But Mourinho wanted to deflect the blame away from the Dutchman and insists everyone is at fault because it should have been game over at half time. He added: "I don't think it's fair for him to blame himself because he had a very positive game and we have to blame everyone that was on the pitch. "We lost so many chances that we put ourselves in this situation. It's always a risky situation when you forgive so many chances.
"We lost because in the first half we should have been 5-0 ahead and we couldn't score one goal after being so dominant.
"For many periods of the first half it seemed impossible not to win."
