Patrice Evra fired by Marseille and suspended from Uefa club football for SEVEN months after kicking fan

PATRICE EVRA has been fired by Marseille and suspended from Uefa-related football for SEVEN months after kung-fu kicking a fan. European football's governing body has come down hard on the former Manchester United star after he engaged in a pre-match scuffle with a supporter earlier this month.

It means Evra will be unable to compete in Uefa football matches until June 30 2018, and is now without a club after Marseille decided to part ways following the continental ban. The bizarre incident occurred before Marseille's Europa League match against Vitoria on November 3. Evra lost his rag during the warm-up as a group of travelling Marseille fans started to hurl insults at him from the stands. A melee then ensued which saw the fans and some players confront each other at the side of the pitch. Evra, 36, then escaped the attention of his team-mates by darting around the back of them before launching his attack.
The veteran aimed a kung-fu kick which appeared to connect with the side of the head of one of the fans as the tensions blew up.
