Sam Allardyce back in talks with Everton to save crisis-hit season
CRISIS club Everton are going back to Sam Allardyce in a bid to save their season.
The Goodison club are lining up talks with the former England boss and renowned fire fighter after an alarming dip in form.
Allardyce had been looked at as a short term option a couple of weeks ago before he pulled out of the race because he wanted a lengthy deal.
However owner Farhad Moshiri has revived the interest and it will now come down to finding a contract that suits all parties.
Allardyce
wants a two and a half year deal but may compromise with less if the terms and bonuses are attractive.
Moshiri has failed to land Watford’s
Marco Silva
and original choice
Carlo Ancelotti
will not budge either. Allardyce is one of the few options left with his reputation for organisation and getting results.
The experienced boss also has allies in he club with director of football Steve Walsh on his side. It will be a major relief for caretaker David Unsworth if Allardyce joins.
He admits that he job is a tough one and needs to be sorted out soon.
