Eric Bailly set to miss six to eight weeks after injury setback

ERIC BAILLY has dealt Manchester United a blow by getting ruled out until the New Year.
The Ivory Coast centre-back is set to miss six to eight weeks.
Eric Bailly last played against Chelsea on November 5
Bailly, 23, has aggravated a groin injury.
His last match was the 1-0 defeat at Chelsea on November 5.
And Jose Mourinho must now cope without his key defender through the crucial festive and January period. The United boss has already needed to juggle his defence since Phil Jones’ injury playing for England last month.
Bailly was a regular last season and his injury problems were limited to a six-week spell out with a knee problem before Christmas. But this season he has been limited to ten appearances for United.
Earlier in the season Barcelona were thought to be on Bailly’s trail. Barca technical secretary Robert Fernandez and chief scout Urbano Ortega saw that game against Chelsea and were both impressed after seeing Bailly at close quarters, despite United losing 1-
It confirmed that Bailly, who was signed from Villarreal in 2016, was one of Mourinho’s best players last term and has emerged as one of the Premier League’s top defenders.
