Mauro Icardi to snub Real Madrid

REAL MADRID will soon have to shell out a club record fee if they want to bring in Mauro Icardi, according to reports in Italy.
The Argentinian hitman is a top target for Los Blancos, who had been warned their chase was futile due to the players love for Inter Milan.
Mauro Icardi has scored 17 goals in 17 games so far this season for Inter Milan
And Gazzetta dello Sport report he will be rewarded for his loyalty when he signs his new six-year contract worth £120,000-a-week — meaning, he will be 30 when it expires.
The new deal will include a whopping £115million release clause, meaning Real Madridwould have to smash their previous record of £86m, which they paid Tottenham for Gareth Bale in 2013 if they are to have any hope of landing their No1 target.
Icardi actually rejected Real Madrid as a kid to join Barcelona's academy, but failed to make the grade and moved onto Sampdoria in 2011.
It was at the then Serie B side that he made his name. After just one season in Italy's top flight, he was snapped up by Inter where his career burst into life.
In 2014-15, he finished as joint-top goal scorer in the league with 22, despite a woeful campaign which saw the Nerazzurri miss out on European football.
He was named club captain that summer and has hit over 15 goals in every season since. And this season, he is arguably on course for his best campaign to date, averaging a goal-a-game with 17 so far as Inter look to mount their first genuine title challenge in five years.
After a turbulent relationship which saw him become a hate figure among the Nerazzurri faithful following controversial comments in his book, he has repaired his relationship with his performances on the pitch.
