Manchester United and City should leave Umtiti - Gerard Pique warns

GERARD PIQUE is adamant that Samuel Umtiti is staying at Barcelona.
France international Umtiti is on the radar of Manchester City and Manchester Unitedafter a string of impressive displays at the heart of the Blaugrana defence.
Samuel Umtiti is said to be on the radar of both Manchester clubs
And the Catalan giants are worried that the Prem duo could swoop with a bid that meets Umtiti's £55million release clause.
Pique acknowledges that figure "doesn't seem so high", with Barca receiving a world-record £198m for Neymar and then spending £145m of it to land Philippe Coutinho.
But he says he is not worried that his centre-back partner could follow Neymar by leaving the Nou Camp.
Pique, 30, said: "I’m not worried about what clubs might or might not do. "Umtiti is a great player and we expect him to stay at Barca for many more years and for him to enjoy his football with us.
"To an extent, the buyout clause is made high so that you can’t buy the player. As time goes by, that fee doesn’t seem so high at all, but the player still has to want to leave.’
"We’re very happy with Umtiti and I’m sure he’s very happy with us. He’s going to stay here for a very long time." Barca are about lose lose midfielder-turned-defender Jabier Mascherano, with the Argentinian set for one last mega pay day from Chinese side Hebei China Fortune.
La Liga's leaders have moved quickly to secure Colombian defender Yerry Mina from Brazilian side Palmeiras for £10.5m.
