Manchester City star Gabriel Jesus set to return next month from knee injury

CROCKED Gabriel Jesus is set to return from his knee injury next month.
There were fears Manchester City’s Brazilian striker may have damaged his cruciate ligament, which would have ended his season and ruled him out of the World Cup.

But he was given a huge boost yesterday when he was examined by orthopedic specialist Dr Ramon Cugat in Barcelona.
Cugat is convinced that Jesus — who was injured in the 0-0 draw at Crystal Palace on December 31 — will be back inside five weeks.
Jesus has hit ten goals for City this season and his return will be a timely boost as boss Pep Guardiola targets an unprecedented Quadruple.
Cugat has also treated Jesus’ City team-mates Kevin De Bruyne and Vincent Kompany — as well as Chelsea star Cesc Fabregas and Barcelona legends Andres Iniesta, Samuel Eto’o and David Villa. Etihad midfielder Ilkay Gundogan predicts his team-mate Leroy Sane will become one of the world’s best — if he improves his first touch.
City star Sane, 22, has been a revelation this season with nine goals and a string of scintillating displays. And his German compatriot Gundogan, 27, said: “I don’t think he’s at his best yet, which is a good thing.
“He is so quick. You can pass to him and be quite sure he’s going to reach the ball. “His first touch might not be the greatest but, with his pace, it’s always possible to get him the ball.
“If he’s focused on doing the simple things as perfect as possible then everything is reachable for this guy.”
