WEST BROM ended their miserable club record run of 20 league games without a win as they romped to their first league win since August 21.
Alan Pardew broke his Premier duck with his first three points as Baggies boss as deadly defenders Jonny Evans and Craig Dawson scored in each half with headers from corners.

Brighton will look back in anger at losing another two goals from set-pieces to take their tally to 17 – the worst record in the Premier League.
Brighton were blown away as West Brom made a Blitzkrieg start which was rewarded with the early breakthrough they craved.
Jonny Evans, who missed last week’s FA Cup win at Exeter with a damaged foot, wasted no time to make an impact on his return and headed Baggies in front after four minutes. Matt Philips’ corner was flicked on by Jay Rodriguez and Evans steamed in at the back post, stretching every sinew to power his header beyond Mat Ryan for his second goal of the season.
It underlined exactly why Arsenal, Manchester City and his former club Manchester United are all hovering like vultures as they weigh up whether to offer in excess of £30million for the Northern Ireland international. West Brom were paying like men possessed as Chris Brunt proved when he sprinted 30 yards to panic Mat Ryan into crashing an attempted clearance off his outstretched boot as the forward slid in.
Faster to every ball, crisper with their passes and more decisive in everything they did Albion started well and never took their foot of the gas - the Seagulls simply didn’t know what had hit them. Dawson headed another Phillips corner just wide and Albion should have had a penalty when Glenn Murray appeared to beat down Matt Phillips’ fierce shot with his arm.
But Brighton’s threat on the break ensured Albion needed the cushion of a crucial second goal.
It arrived 10 minutes after the break from another corner as Craig Dawson rose above Gaean Bong to power his header down and into the roof of the net, despite the efforts of Anthony Knockaert and Mat Ryan on the line.
There was one weird moment as Bong clashed with Jay Rodriguez and the West Brom forward PINCHED his own nose.
It’s doubtful if it will land him in bother with the game’s beaks however!
