Chelsea has failed in their bid to bring Andrea Belotti

ANTONIO CONTE has failed in a £63million approach to bring Torino star Andrea Belotti to Stamford Bridge.
The Italian striker has been a long-term target of Chelsea, with Conte desperately trying to bring his compatriot to the Premier League.  According to the Metro, the Blues touted a fee of £63m for his services, but the Serie A side swiftly knocked back their offer.
They will not be letting their prized asset leave the Stadio Olimpico Grande Torino unless a club pays his £88m release clause.
The 23-year-old announced himself on the European stage last season after banging in 28 goals in 38 games in all competitions.
His fine form led him being called up to the Italian national side – coming on as a substitute against France last September, where he has since made nine caps.
He has netted four goals in the colours of the Azzurri – including a hat-trick against Liechtenstein in a 2018 World Cup qualifier.
According to Italian news outlet Tuttosport, Torino are adamant he will be staying beyond the transfer window, and will continue to be the engine and spearhead of the side. Chelsea are in the market for another striker – despite the club-record signing of Alvaro Morata.
Diego Costa is refusing to return to West London, and is vying to return to Atletico Madrid, though Diego Simeone is only willing to cough up £30m – with the FA Cup finalists holding out for £50m.
As well as signing Tiemoue Bakayoko and Antonio Rudiger, Conte is seeking another centre-back and a full-back to complete his squad.
