Frank Lampard joins BT Sport as a Pundit

FRANK LAMPARD has joined BT Sport as a pundit after hanging up his boots.
The Chelsea legend will be a pundit for their Premier League and Champions League coverage this season. He joins former England team-mates Steven Gerrard, Rio Ferdinand and Paul Scholes on BT’s star-studded sofa.
Lampard will make his punditry debut on Sunday when Chelsea face Arsenal in the Community Shield at Wembley.
The 39-year-old became Chelsea’s all-time leading scorer with 211 goals for the club.
“I’m delighted to be joining BT Sport,” Lampard said.
“I’m looking forward to an exciting new season both here and in Europe and can’t wait to begin working with the team.”
BT Sport will broadcast 42 live Premier League games this season as well as the Champions League, Europa League and FA Cup. Simon Green, head of BT Sport, said: “It’s no secret that Frank had many offers, both within the game and elsewhere, following his retirement, so we are absolutely thrilled that he has chosen to join the team at BT Sport.
"Frank needs no introduction as a Chelsea and England legend and he has already shown in his first appearances as a broadcaster that he is going to be a shrewd and insightful expert.
"Frank’s incredible pedigree on the field means that he’ll regularly be commenting on a competition that he’s won as a player, which we believe gives him fantastic credibility.”
