Bayern Munich 4 Mainz 0 : Carlo Ancelotti’s men bounce back

BAYERN MUNICH put the disappointment of last week’s defeat to Hoffenheim behind them as they smash Mainz, four goals to nil.
Despite being red-hot favourites for the title, the Bavarians came into this clash in SIXTH place, but have redeemed themselves with today’s scoreline and currently sit in second. Robert Lewandowski was this week announced as sixth place in Fifa 18’s ratings and proved his worth by finding the back of the next twice.
Lewandowski scored both of his goals in the second half, whereas Arjen Robben lays claim to both goals scored in the first half.
Robben scored at 11 minutes and at 23 minutes, scoring the first goal with his right foot in two-and-a-half years.
Mainz were saved from an agonising 5-0 scoreline, when substitute Franck Ribery hit the woodwork with his long-rang shot.
Carlo Ancelotti will breathe a sigh of relief with the result and will perhaps put to bed the rumours that he is looking to return to the Premier League.
