Chelsea snubbed by Radja Nainggolan

RADJA NAINGGOLAN insists he never considered a move to Chelsea on the eve of their Champions League clash against Roma.
The Belgian midfielder was Antonio Conte’s No1 midfield target when the Italian arrived at Stamford Bridge in 2016.

Radja Nainggolan insists he never considered leaving Roma for Chelsea
Nainggolan’s dynamism and energy made him the ideal man to partner N’Golo Kante.
But Chelsea were rebuffed in their efforts to sign the 29-year-old, who consistently distanced himself from a Stamford Bridge switch. Nainggolan was again linked with Chelsea in the last transfer window following their Premier League title win. However, the Blues ended up spending big money on Tiemoue Bakayoko and Danny Drinkwater instead. Nainggolan now wants to put the saga behind him and is adamant he never once thought about swapping the Italian capital for the English one.
The superstar said: “Well I made my choice. I never hesitated or thought for a minute [about leaving], so it doesn’t matter if it’s Chelsea or anyone else. “It’s always nice to play against a top team, and like all professionals I know how to prepare for them. I’m ready to give my best and hope to play well.”
Meanwhile, Chelsea fans have been given a double boost with N’Golo Kante fit for tomorrow’s game and Alvaro Morata declaring his intention to stay at the club for many years to come.
