Manchester United suffer injury scare as Romelu Lukaku and Marouane Fellaini is forced to miss Belgium training

MANCHESTER UNITED were dealt an injury scare when top goalscorer Romelu Lukaku was forced to miss training with Belgium on Monday with an ankle problem.
The striker reported for national duty in Brussels earlier today, despite being involved in court proceedings in Los Angeles. But the 24-year-old striker did not join in with his team-mates as he was checked over by doctors, according to ESPN.
And his fellow United star Marouane Fellaini was also missing from the session with a similar blow.
The midfielder missed last week's Champions League victory at CSKA Moscow due to the blow but was deemed fit enough to start against Crystal Palace in Saturday's Premier League clash - and he scored twice in the 4-0 victory.
Lukaku suffered his injury in training last Friday and was a doubt for the match against the Eagles.
But he passed a late fitness and bagged his 11th goal in 10 games for the Red Devils against Roy Hodgson's side as he played the full 90 minutes.
Belgium officials are hopeful that he will recover in time for their World Cup qualifiers against Bosnia on Saturday and against Cyprus next Tuesday. But national boss Roberto Martinez, whose side have already secured their place at Russia 2018, could come under pressure from Jose Mourinho not to play the frontman.
United have a crucial run of fixtures against title rivals Liverpool Tottenham and Chelsea as well as a double header against Benfica after the international break. And with nothing at stake for Belgium, Mourinho is unlikely to want Martinez to risk his top marksman.
The Red Devils are already without Paul Pogba, who has been absent for the last five matches, after he pulled his hamstring last month.
