Antoine Griezmann asked if he has spoken to Jose Mourinho over transfer to Manchester United

ATLETICO MADRID forward Antoine Griezmann played down talk of a move to Manchester United in the near future, and denied reports he is in talks with Jose Mourinho.
The French international was close to joining United in a blockbusting switch last summer.
Antoine Griezmann was quizzed about his future on French television
But the deal collapsed when Griezmann decided to stay in Spain due to a transfer embargo which blocked the La Liga side replacing him until January 2018. There have been reports Mourinho is still keen to sign the hitman, who has so far struggled to recapture the form of last season that convinced United to meet his whopping £85million release clause.
Griezmann penned a new deal, which saw his buy-out clause doubled to £170m for the summer window alone. However, Griezmann has played down speculation he’s set to move to Old Trafford and says he has not spoken to Mourinho about the club. During a Q&A on French television, Griezmann was asked if he had spoken to the Special One about moving to the Theatre of Dreams and he simply replied: "No".
The 27-year-old has scored just three goals in 13 appearances for Diego Simeone’s side, who are eight points adrift of leaders Barcelona. According to reports in France, Barca have agreed a deal in principle to sign Griezmann next season.
Even though he is having a poor campaign by his high standards, the Catalan giants are convinced he is still one the best forwards in the world and his familiarity with the legaue is a huge plus.
